As part of our commitment to artistic expression, some productions may push boundaries to evoke specific emotional or intellectual responses. The LCCT provides warnings (if any) in each show description and also posts warnings in the lobby. It is recommended to take a moment to research each particular show and use discretion prior to purchasing tickets. In many productions, language is used intentionally to convey deeper aspects of the story or the characters emotions. Profanity or violence, as examples, can be part of the artistic choices made by playwrights or directors to create authentic characters or to reflect the realities of certain situations as a narrative tool to convey intense emotions, highlight conflicts, or explore difficult themes.
